Major accident in MP's Sehore, three laborers crushed to death as soil collapses at bridge construction site
Sehore (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident occurred in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh, where three laborers lost their lives after the soil caved in at a bridge construction site in the village of Siyaghan. The rescue team managed to save one person, who was seriously injured and later sent to Narmada Hospital in Narmadapuram for treatment.
Details of the Incident
The incident took place in Siyaghan village, located in the Budhni Assembly constituency, where soil was being excavated for the construction of a bridge. During the excavation process, the soil suddenly collapsed, trapping four laborers beneath it. Rescue teams were quickly deployed to the scene, and relief and rescue operations began immediately. Unfortunately, three of the trapped workers died, while one was pulled out alive.
Cause of the Collapse
The workers were digging the soil near the bridge construction site when the ground gave way, causing the fatal accident. Local residents promptly alerted the authorities, and rescue teams arrived soon after to begin the recovery operation.
Rescue Efforts and Casualties
Among the trapped laborers, three were declared dead, while one was rescued and transported to Narmada Hospital in Narmadapuram. The injured laborer, identified as Veerendra (25), a resident of Dhannwas village in Muwas, district Vidisha, was sent to the hospital for medical care.
