Women's Secret Wedding in Ujjain Sparks Family Drama, Police Intervention

Chandauli (The Uttam Hindu): A recent incident in the Mughalsarai Kotwali area of Chandauli district has come to light, involving two women who got married in secret. The women, from different social classes, had been in a relationship for six years before deciding to tie the knot in Ujjain without their families' knowledge or consent. Upon discovering their daughters' actions, the families filed a complaint with the police. Authorities promptly located the women in Ujjain and brought them back to the police station.

Following an investigation, police determined that the marriage was a mutual decision between the two women, both of whom are adults. With their consent, the police handed them over to their families. Mughalsarai Kotwali in-charge Inspector Vijay Bahadur Singh confirmed the incident, stating that the necessary actions were taken, and the women were reunited with their families. The incident highlights the complexities of same-sex relationships and the challenges faced by individuals who choose to enter into such relationships without familial approval
