Gandhinagar (The Uttam Hindu): Two brothers from Gandhinagar, Gujarat have been arrested for brutally murdering a man who had been in a long-term affair with their mother. The siblings in a fit of rage over the relationship, attacked the man on a construction site, stabbing him repeatedly and flinging his intestines into the air. The brothers were later tracked and apprehended based on their mobile phone locations.

The shocking incident took place in Mokhasan village, where the brothers Sanjay Thakor (27) and Jayesh Thakor (23) attacked 45-year-old Ratanji Thakor, a mason who had been involved with their mother for over 15 years. The brothers reportedly held deep resentment toward Ratanji, viewing the affair as dishonoring their late father's memory and bringing shame to their family. In a police report filed by the victim's son, Ajay Thakor it was revealed that the brothers had repeatedly warned Ratanji to stay away from their mother. Despite several confrontations, including involving community elders in attempts to resolve the issue, their efforts to settle the matter peacefully were unsuccessful.

Consumed by anger, the brothers allegedly decided to take matters into their own hands. On Sunday, as Ratanji and his friend Jikuji Parmar were working on a house construction in the village, Sanjay and Jayesh arrived with a knife and a rod. Jayesh struck Ratanji on the head with the rod and as he collapsed, Sanjay stabbed him multiple times. The horrific scene unfolded as Sanjay drew out Ratanji's intestines and flung them into the air while slicing his internal organs. Ratanji eventually collapsed in a pool of blood. Despite efforts by some laborers and Ratanji's friend to help him, the brothers brandished the blood-soaked knife and rod to ward off the onlookers before fleeing the scene on their motorcycle. Using mobile phone location tracking, police managed to apprehend the accused later that day. The brothers have been charged with murder and abetment.
