Ranveer Allahabadia's Passport Plea Rejected: SC Says Investigation Takes Precedence

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu) : In a blow to YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia, who was facing criticism for his controversial remarks on Samay Raina's show, the Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected his petition seeking issuance of passport. During the hearing, the lawyer appearing on behalf of the Maharashtra government said that the investigation in the case will be completed in two weeks. Therefore, no order should be given to issue the passport. The passport should be considered to be released after the investigation is completed. After this, the Supreme Court rejected Ranveer's demand to issue a passport to go abroad. The next hearing in the case will be on April 21. Till then the ban imposed by the apex court on Allahabadia's arrest will continue.

During the hearing, Ranveer's lawyer said that the podcaster is cooperating with the investigation, wherever he is called for questioning, he goes there. Earlier, the Supreme Court had allowed Ranveer Allahabadia to resume his podcast on the condition that he will maintain "standards of decency and morality". Meanwhile, by sharing a post on March 30, Ranveer Allahabadia informed the fans that he is ready for a new podcast. Ranveer told that this period was very difficult for him, but the positive messages received from friends and the support of loved ones helped him. Along with this, he promised the fans that he would create content with "more responsibility". He said that amid many threats and many news articles written in protest, the support and messages received helped him and his family a lot.

He said, "It is only in the worst moments of life that you realize that not only success will be with you, you will also have to face failure. So today I will just share my heart's feelings with you people, especially for those people who helped us." Along with apologizing, Ranveer said that now he will create content with more responsibility. Along with this, he also talked about giving him another chance.
