Update: 2025-04-03 06:35 GMT

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab and Haryana High Court has given a big decision in the case of assault on Army Colonel Pushpinder Bath in Patiala. The High Court has handed over the investigation of this case to the Chandigarh Police, which will have to complete it within four months. As per the court order, a new investigation team will be formed within three days, in which no officer of Punjab Police will be included. However, it will be mandatory to give full cooperation to the Punjab Police in the investigation.

Earlier, the Punjab Police had formed an SIT (Special Investigation Team) in this case, which recorded statements as well as collected evidence. Despite this, the High Court rejected the investigation process and arguments of the Punjab Police. This petition was filed by Colonel Pushpinder Bath demanding a CBI inquiry.

Meanwhile, the Colonel's wife Jaswinder Kaur Bath has caught a suspicious person, who is accused of tracking them. She says that the person was monitoring their activities and was sending minute-to-minute information and photos to someone via WhatsApp. On the basis of suspicion, he was caught and handed over to the police. This case has now reached a new turn and many important revelations can be made in the upcoming investigation.
