Tahawwur Rana's lawyer had appealed to the US Supreme Court to review the lower court's decision to extradite him to India. He cited the principle of double jeopardy, which prevents a person from being tried or punished twice for the same crime. But the SC rejected his argument in its decision.

Let us tell you that Tahawwur Rana is currently lodged in a Los Angeles jail. He is accused of being involved in the conspiracy of Mumbai attacks. He is believed to be associated with Pakistani-American terrorist David Coleman Headley, who is one of the main conspirators of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
