Bijapur Clash: 8 Naxals Eliminated in Ongoing Operation by Security Forces

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): An encounter between security forces and Naxals took place in the Todka area of the Gangalur police station in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh. Reports confirm that 8 Naxals were killed during the operation.

According to sources, the bodies of all the slain Naxals have been recovered by the security forces. The encounter is still ongoing, with personnel from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Special Task Force (STF) involved in the operation. Several automatic weapons were also seized from the deceased Naxals.

In a similar incident earlier, security forces achieved a significant success in Gariaband district, another Naxal-affected area. In the Bhalu Diggi jungle near Kulhadi Ghat, 14 Naxals were killed, and a soldier from the CRPF Cobra Unit was injured. The bodies of the 14 Naxals and their weapons were recovered during the operation.
