Gay Parade Scheduled in Amritsar on April 27, Multiple Organizations Issue Warnings – Watch Video

Amritsar (The Uttam Hindu): A 'gay parade' is going to be organized in the Rose Garden at 5 pm on April 27 in Guru Nagri Amritsar. It has been named Pride March. A video of which is also going viral on social media. A controversy has started in Amritsar regarding this parade. Sikh and Nihang organizations have warned that such a parade will not be allowed in this city of Gurus. If it happens, the administration will be responsible for any incident. According to the viral video, this parade will be held in Rose Garden on April 27 at 5 pm.

Sikh organization leader Paramjit Singh Akali says that Amritsar is a holy city of Sikhism and this city is associated with religious heritage like Sri Harimandir Sahib (Golden Temple). In such a situation, such events here have been said to hurt religious sentiments. He said that it would be better if the administration comes forward for this and stops this program from happening in Amritsar. He has also warned that if the administration does not cancel the permission for the event, they will take to the streets and protest strongly.
