Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Jalandhar hosted its Inter-School Youth Festival, Spectra 2024, with thousands of students from over 25 schools participating to display their talent and raise awareness about social issues.

The event opened with a powerful performance by "Azadi the Band," setting the stage for a vibrant display of creativity. Spectra 2024 transformed LPU's campus into a hub of artistic expression, featuring over 30 competitions across seven main categories, including music, dance, drama, visual arts, and technology.

This year, the School of Computer Science and Engineering took home the overall trophy, while participants used their performances to emphasize the role of youth in building a better future through messages on topics like environmental protection, nationalism, corruption, and skill development.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Founder Chancellor of LPU and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), commended the students’ efforts, saying, “Programs like Spectra are essential for developing students who are both talented and socially responsible. At LPU, we focus on preparing students to make a positive impact on the world.”

Alongside the competitions, the festival created a carnival-like atmosphere with student-run stalls that promoted entrepreneurship, giving participants the chance to develop practical skills and creativity. During the award ceremony, all participants were celebrated for their hard work and dedication.

The School of Liberal and Creative Arts (Fine Arts) was named the first runner-up, followed by the School of Film, Theater, and Music as the second runner-up. Spectra 2024 stood as a testament to unity, creativity, and excellence, providing students a platform to advance to national-level competitions such as AIU Nationals, Youth Vibe, and One India, One World.
