Commissionerate Police Jalandhar Engages in Encounter with Lawrence Bishnoi's Gangsters; 2 Injured, Plotting Major Crime
Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): An encounter took place between CIA staff and gangsters in the city of Jalandhar this morning. Two gangsters were injured in the incident. Both belong to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The accused were wanted in an old case of Jalandhar Police. This encounter was carried out by the city police near Wadala Chowk. Currently, city police teams are being sent to the crime scene.
The two gangsters have been identified as Balraj Singh alias Ballu son of Sarabjit Singh, resident of village Surakhpur, police station Fattu Dhinga, district Kapurthala and Pawan Kumar son of Balveer Ram, resident of village Jandiala Manjki, police station Sadar Jalandhar.
Initial investigation has revealed that the accused were planning a big crime in Jalandhar. The accused fired directly at the police party, after which when the CIA Staff City team retaliated, the accused were shot in the legs. The injured gangsters have been arrested by the police.
These gangsters were hiding near Wadala Chowk. As soon as the police got the news of this, when the police teams reached near Vishwakarma temple, the gangsters opened fire on the police party. After this, in retaliation, this encounter was carried out by the team of CIA staff in-charge Surinder Singh Kamboj.
Police have recovered 03 pistols .32 bore, 12 cartridges, 01 pistol 9mm and 1 cartridge along with a white Hyundai i20 car from the accused. A case has been registered against the accused in Police Station Bhargo Camp Jalandhar under FIR No. 08 dated 15-01-2025 Sections 221, 132, 109 Indian Justice Code (BNS), 25/27-54-59 Arms Act.
