Music Producer Arrested After Singer's Complaint on Social Media

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After the Women's Commission took cognizance of singer Sunanda Sharma's complaint on social media, Punjab Police has arrested music producer Pinky Dhaliwal.

Police sources said that the Matour police have also registered an FIR against Dhaliwal on the instructions of Women Commission chief Raj Lali Gill. Sunanda Sharma had said in a social media post that she just wants the Chief Minister to protect her rights as a citizen so that she can continue to succeed as an artist and bring glory to the state.

She had written that some greedy people who have no values ​​and no respect for the law should not be allowed to become an obstacle in the way of progress of the state and the people.

In another post, she had alleged that certain people/entities were falsely claiming that they had privileges over her work and misleading people that she was bound by contracts with them. Sunanda said, “I want to clarify that I am an independent artist and have not given rights over my professional affairs, programs etc. to any person/entity.”
