Training Exercise Goes Wrong: Air Force Drops 8 Bombs Inside Own Territory
Seoul (The Uttam Hindu): A major incident occurred in South Korea due to the mistake of the Air Force. During an Air Force training exercise on Thursday, 8 bombs were accidentally dropped from a fighter jet (KF-16). There is no news of any death in this incident but 15 people are said to be injured. The Air Force gave information about this accident.
Big mistake by Air Force during training exercise, 8 bombs dropped in their own country, created panic : The Air Force itself said that this incident happened when 8 MK-82 bombs were inadvertently dropped from a KF-16 fighter plane during a training exercise. However, it was fortunate that all the bombs fell outside the designated firing range. Only a few civilians were injured in this incident and no major accident occurred. The Air Force clarified that it was a human or technical mistake, the investigation of which has been started.
The Air Force spokesperson issued a statement saying, "We deeply regret this incident. We express our condolences to the affected people. The exact number of injured and damage assessment is still underway, but initial reports suggest that many people have been injured."
