Shocking Twist: Bride Gives Birth Two Days After Wedding, Groom Rejects Paternity
Uttar Pradesh (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj district has left a newlywed groom and his family in turmoil after the bride gave birth just two days after their wedding. The unexpected turn of events has sparked a heated dispute between the two families, leading to accusations, denials, and threats of legal action.
The wedding, held on February 24 in Jasra village, was a grand affair with celebrations continuing late into the night. The following day, the bride was sent off to her in-laws’ house, where traditional ceremonies took place. However, on February 26, just two days into the marriage, the bride complained of severe stomach pain and was rushed to Karchana CHC. Doctors revealed she was in labor and needed immediate delivery. Within hours, she gave birth, leaving the groom’s family in shock and disbelief.
As the news spread, tensions escalated between the two families. The groom’s side accused the bride’s parents of hiding her pregnancy, while the bride’s family claimed the couple had been in contact before marriage. The groom, however, denied the claim, asserting that their match was arranged only four months ago. He and his family refused to accept the bride, demanding the return of all wedding gifts and belongings. Meanwhile, the bride’s family alleged that the groom’s side had taken dowry and abandoned their daughter. The conflict led to a village panchayat, where it was decided that the bride would return to her maternal home with the child, while both families threatened legal action against each other.
