Punjab's Zero-Tolerance Policy: Bulldozers Destroy Houses of Drug Peddlers in Sangrur

Sangrur (The Uttam Hindu): The government is in action mode to make Punjab Rangla Punjab and eradicate drug abuse from its roots. Now, bulldozers have been run on the houses of two drug smugglers in Sangrur. According to the information, bulldozers have been run on the houses of Rajpal Singh and Ratto, residents of Sangrur. Both of them are husband and wife and 11 cases were registered against them under the NDPS Act. The second house belonged to a person named Lakho, against whom four cases were registered under the NDPS Act, which were pending since 2018. Officials said that these houses were built illegally. They have been demolished by bulldozers. The Mann government says that it will eradicate drug abuse from the state. He says that if anyone is selling drugs, he should mend his ways or else he will not be spared. The government has also issued a 'Safe Punjab' anti-drug helpline number 97791-00200.
