Pope Francis' Health Improves, Doctors Confirm No Threat to His Life
Vatican City (The Uttam Hindu): The Vatican said that Pope Francis' health has improved. Doctors say that his health is improving and there is no danger to his life. The Vatican said about Pope Francis' health that 88-year-old Pope Francis may be discharged from the hospital soon. However, his condition is still complicated. “The Holy Father's medical conditions remain stable,” the Vatican said in a statement.
The statement said that the improvements that had been made in the past few days have now become even better, as is evident from the blood tests, doctor's checkups and the good response to medicines. Doctors have recommended that Pope Francis remain under medical observation for a few more days to complete his treatment, as his condition is complicated and he had a serious infection at the time of his hospitalization.
Pope Francis is recovering and is undergoing physical and respiratory therapy as part of his treatment. He uses an oxygen mask at night and a high-flow oxygen cannula during the day. Although the pope has not made any public appearances since his enthronement, he follows Vatican prayers via video link. Last week, the Pope also recorded an audio message in which he expressed gratitude to those who prayed for and supported his health.
Despite not attending his Angels prayer for four consecutive Sundays, Pope Francis shared a message expressing gratitude to his medical team. He wrote, "I too feel the tenderness of the thoughtfulness and care of the seva, and thank with all my heart specially the doctors and health workers."
