People of Arunachal eat dog meat… Samay Raina's 'India Got Latent' got into trouble, FIR lodged

Mumbai  (The Uttam Hindu): Stand up comedian Samay Raina's comedy show 'India's Got Latent' has got embroiled in a new trouble. This trouble is due to an objectionable comment made by a contestant. An FIR has been lodged in this regard. In India's Got Latent, Samay Raina jokingly asked contestant JC if he has ever eaten dog meat? On this he answered that he has never eaten it, but the people of Arunachal do eat dog meat. He further said that I know this because my friends eat it, they even eat their pets sometimes. 

Reacting to this, comedian Balraj Singh Ghai, who was present as a judge on the show, said that now you are just saying this for the sake of saying it. This FIR, dated January 31, 2025 last month, is addressed to the officer in charge of the Itanagar police station. The case has been registered by Arman Ram Veli Bakha, a resident of Seppa in East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. In his complaint, he has accused JC Nabam and the show of allegedly making derogatory remarks about the indigenous people of Arunachal Pradesh. Samay Raina and the show are also named in the FIR. Although it has not been officially confirmed, a copy of the complaint is going viral.
