Sunrisers Hyderabad Suffer Major Blow as Star Player Ruled Out of IPL 2025
Hyderabad (The Uttam Hindu):- Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) leg-spinner Adam Zampa has been ruled out of the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to a shoulder injury. Zampa suffered some pain in his shoulder while bowling in the match played between SRH and Rajasthan Royals. He did not play in the next four matches and went back to Australia for medical advice.
Zampa played as an impact sub in the first two matches of the tournament and took 1-48 and 1-46 in two very high-scoring games. It is believed to be a recurrence of the same problem he suffered before the 2023 ODI World Cup. It was believed that Zampa could return to the IPL after a diagnosis and some rest, but SRH decided to replace him with Karnataka batsman R Smaran. Zampa is now unlikely to play again until Australia's next T20 series against the West Indies in the Caribbean in late July.
