Massive Blaze Destroys Rs 34 Crores Worth of Material: Full Story Revealed

Dimapur (The Uttam Hindu): Nagaland Police recently destroyed drugs worth over Rs 34 crore in Dimapur. The drugs were burned at the Dimapur Municipal Council's dumping ground by the Drugs Disposal Committee (DDC). The destroyed substances included illegal items such as brown sugar, heroin, crystal meth, and opium straw, with methamphetamine (crystal meth) being the most addictive, severely affecting the brain.

According to reports, these drugs were seized across 79 cases registered at various police stations under the Dimapur Police Commissionerate. The action was carried out under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985. Senior police officers and officials from other relevant departments were present during the disposal, ensuring transparency and security measures throughout the process.

Nagaland Police continues to take stringent action against the drug trade, marking this as a crucial step in combating the growing drug menace and its detrimental impact on society. Officials stated that the objective of this action is not only to destroy the seized drugs but also to send a strong message that drug trafficking will not be tolerated. They further appealed for public cooperation in this ongoing campaign against drugs.
