Maha Snan on Basant Panchami: 3 Crore Devotees to Participate, Strict Arrangements Enforced

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The festival of Basant Panchami is being celebrated with great pomp today. The administration has completed its preparations for the Amrit Snan of Basant Panchami in Maha Kumbh as well. It is estimated that on the occasion of Basant Panchami, about 3 crore devotees coming from all over the country and the world will take Amrit Snan in Maha Kumbh.
Before Basanti Panchami, the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath visited the Mahakumbh area. During this, he took stock of the preparations here. In view of the stampede on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the police has started monitoring the ghats. The police is not allowing anyone to stop at Sangam Nose area. Regarding Basant Panchami, DM Prayagraj Ravindra Kumar said that on the occasion of Basant Panchami, a diversion scheme will be implemented in Prayagraj on 2 and 3 February. There will be no restriction on the entry of vehicles. CM Yogi has instructed the administration to keep the arrangements zero error on the occasion of Basant Panchami. After the stampede in Mahakumbh, the administration has canceled all types of VIP passes. Also, 'one way route' has been implemented to control the crowd. Railways have also made arrangements to run several special trains for Basanti Amrit Snan. To maintain smooth system in Mahakumbh, the administration will stop vehicles coming from outside districts outside the city limits.
On the occasion of Basant Panchami, crowds of people have started arriving for Amrit Snan. A large number of devotees are reaching Prayagraj on the occasion of Amrit Snan. The festival of Basant Panchami is being celebrated with great pomp across the country today. The date of Basant Panchami will begin on 2 February at 9:14 am. The date will end on 3 February at 6:52 am. The festival of Basant Panchami will be celebrated on the 2nd. However, according to religious beliefs, the Amrit Snan of Mahakumbh is done in Brahma Muhurta. Therefore, the Amrit Snan of Basant Panchami will be on 3 February.
