Joined BJP After Leaving Congress Post-Lok Sabha Elections: After the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Kiran Chaudhary and her daughter Shruti Chaudhary resigned from Congress on June 18. They joined the BJP the following day, on June 19, at the party headquarters in Delhi. Kiran Chaudhary had been upset over her daughter Shruti's ticket being cut for the Bhivani-Mahendragarh seat, which led her to resign from Congress, stating that she was dishonored within the party and conspiracies were being plotted against her. "Spreading the ideologies and principles of Haryana's founder Chaudhary Bansi Lal and honestly developing the region and state will always be my priority," she had stated.
Kiran Was Given Rajya Sabha Ticket After 2 Months: After the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Rajya Sabha seat became vacant following Deepender Hooda's election as an MP from Rohtak. Two months after Kiran Chaudhary left Congress, the BJP gave her the Rajya Sabha ticket on August 20. On August 21, Chief Minister Nayab Saini personally went to file her nomination. Since no other candidates were fielded by Congress or other opposition parties, Kiran Chaudhary was elected to the Rajya Sabha unopposed. In October 2024, Haryana held its Assembly elections. The BJP nominated Kiran Chaudhary's daughter Shruti Chaudhary from the Tosham constituency. Shruti defeated her cousin Anirudh Chaudhary, who was contesting from Congress and was elected. Later, Shruti was appointed as a Cabinet Minister in the Haryana Government. She was given the ministries of Women & Child Development and Irrigation & Water Resources.
