Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): In a shocking turn of events, renowned music producer Pinky Dhaliwal has been taken into custody by the Mohali police, following a complaint filed by popular singer and actress Sunanda Sharma. The 33-year-old singer alleged that Dhaliwal had been exploiting her for years, withholding her dues despite earning a whopping Rs 250 crore. According to Sunanda's complaint, Dhaliwal had also promised to marry her to his son Gurkaran Dhaliwal, but instead, he continued to exploit her professionally. The singer claimed that the music company 'Mad4Music' had been holding her back, refusing to pay her dues and restricting her from pursuing other professional opportunities.
Sunanda took to social media to share her ordeal, tagging Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in her post. The Punjab Women's Commission chairperson, Raj Lalli Gill, promptly took notice of the case, ensuring that justice is served. Dhaliwal was arrested from Sector 70 on Saturday, and a case has been registered at Mataur police station. The investigation is ongoing, with Sunanda vowing to take legal action against anyone found misrepresenting their association with her or interfering with her professional engagements.
