Law Student Brutally Attacked by 5 Youths; Needles Pierced His Body, Kidney Removed by Doctors

Noida (The Uttam Hindu): Five youths attacked a law student at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIT) with an ice pick. The student was seriously injured in the attack and one of his kidneys had to be removed. He is still battling for life on a ventilator in the ICU of the hospital.

Kanav Negi, a BA LLB second year student at Asian Law College, Noida, who is originally from Garhwal in Uttarakhand and lives in Sector 105 of Noida, had come to give his semester exam at GNIT. Before the exam, he was preparing in his car when five youths came there and asked him his name. As soon as they found out his name, the youths hit Kanav on the head with an iron rod and then pulled him out of the car and attacked him repeatedly with an ice pick. The accused stabbed the student several times on his stomach, back and shoulder.

Kanav was seriously injured in the attack. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors operated on him. One of his kidneys was badly damaged by the bullet attack, which the doctors had to remove. The student's condition is still critical and he is on a ventilator in the ICU.

The local people informed the police about the incident. The police reached the spot and admitted the injured student to the hospital and informed his family. The police have registered a case on the complaint of the student's family and are searching for the attackers.
