Blood Over Water: Pakistan Warns India of War Over Indus River

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Pakistan Peoples Party chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has warned India that "either their water will flow in the Sindh or else Indians blood will flow through it" amid escalating tensions over the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. Bhutto's comments come after India's Cabinet Committee on Security took strict measures against Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack.

Tensions Rise Between India and Pakistan

The tensions between the two countries have been rising since India's decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, with Pakistan warning of severe consequences. Bhutto's statement adds to the growing rhetoric between the two nations.

Pakistan's Strong Stance

Bhutto asserted that the Indus River is Pakistan's lifeline and that the country will not compromise on its rights. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar have also issued warnings to India, stating that any aggression will be met with severe retaliation.
