New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A young man was brutally stabbed to death in Subhash Mohalla of Bhajanpura area of the capital Delhi on Friday night. This sensational incident spread panic in the entire area. Taking immediate action, Delhi Police has detained six minors aged between 13 and 15 years on charges of murder. What the accused revealed during police interrogation is even more shocking; they said that they were only looking for a 'weak target' to make their 'identity' in the world of crime.

According to the police, on the night of April 25, at around 9:31 pm, they received information that a man was lying injured on the road in Subhash Mohalla. Before the police team reached the spot, the locals had already taken the injured Shakir (28 years old) to GTB Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Shakir was a resident of Subhash Mohalla, Ghonda and worked as a dona-patta maker.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police started immediate action. The crime team and the forensic science lab teams closely inspected the crime scene. The police scanned the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area, which gave them important clues.

Based on CCTV footage and other information, the police identified six minors and detained them. During interrogation, these teenagers confessed their crime. They said that they were roaming the streets that night in search of an easy victim so that they could commit a crime and make a name for themselves in the world of crime. Based on their information, the police have also recovered the knife used in the murder.

The police have now added Section 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code to the case. Police say they are investigating the case thoroughly to find out all other aspects of the incident and ensure that no one else is involved. The incident has once again raised concerns over the increasing criminal tendency among teenagers and the reasons behind it.
