UPDATE: Farmers Protest Turns Violent at Shambhu Border: Water Cannons and Barricade Breaking Lead to Injuries

Ambala (The Uttam Hindu): The atmosphere at Shambhu border has become tense due to the farmers' march to Delhi. After arguing with the police for about half an hour, the farmers tried to break the barricades. After this, the police used tear gas and water cannon. 9 farmers have been injured in this clash. The farmers allege that the police are firing bombs and bullets from rocket launchers.

The injured farmers are being admitted to the hospital through ambulances. Once again the farmers tried to break the barricades by putting latches. The police used tear gas and water.
