Terror Attack in Kulgam: Retired Lance Naik Killed, Wife and Daughter Injured

Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): In yet another cowardly act, terrorists have attacked the family of a retired Lance Naik in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of retired Lance Naik Manzoor Ahmad, while his wife and daughter sustained injuries.

The tragic incident took place in the Behibagh area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. Around 2:45 PM on Monday, terrorists stormed Ahmad’s house and opened indiscriminate fire. In the attack Ahmad his wife Aina and daughter Saina were injured. They were immediately rushed to the hospital, where Ahmad was declared dead. His wife and daughter are currently undergoing treatment.

Police reached the scene and have initiated an investigation. Authorities are scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the attackers. This incident adds to the rising violence in Kashmir. Recently, security forces foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists in the Poonch district.
