Punjab Govt Intensifies War on Drugs, Forms Cabinet Committee
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab government is continuing its war against drugs and a big step has been taken as part of this war. The government has formed a five-member cabinet committee to prevent drug abuse. The important role of the committee will be to monitor the action being taken against drugs. The committee will be chaired by Harpal Singh Cheema.
Along with this, Punjab AAP President Aman Arora, Balbir Singh, Laljit Singh Bhullar and Tarunpreet Singh Saund will be members of this committee. It is worth mentioning that the Mann government is taking strict action against drugs and recently a bulldozer was also used on the property built by drug smugglers. This action was taken on the properties of two drug smugglers.
