Intruder Breaks into Saif Ali Khan's Son Jeh's Room, Demands Rs 1 Crore: Staff Reveals Shocking Details
Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): In a terrifying incident an armed intruder broke into Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's residence in Bandra, demanding Rs 1 crore and injuring Khan, his staff and his son's nanny. The attack occurred around 2 a.m. when the family and staff were asleep. The police have initiated an investigation and described the suspect as a man in his late 30s with a slim build.
Eliyama Philip, a 56-year-old nurse employed at Khan's residence provided a harrowing account to the police about the attack. The intruder who was carrying a stick and a sharp blade, barged into the room where Khan’s 4-year-old son, Jeh was sleeping. He first demanded Rs 1 crore from Philip but when she resisted, he assaulted her inflicting injuries on her wrists and hands. The noise from the altercation woke up the nanny, Junu who raised an alarm alerting Saif Ali Khan and his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan. In an effort to protect his family, Saif Ali Khan confronted the intruder.
However, the actor was injured during the struggle, sustaining cuts to his neck, shoulder, back and wrist. Another staff member, Geeta, also sustained injuries while trying to intervene. The intruder managed to escape before additional staff members arrived at the scene. The Bandra police have classified the incident as a case of armed robbery and assault. Sub-Inspector Suraj Irakte revealed that the suspect is believed to be around 5’5” tall, dressed in dark clothing and wore a cap at the time of the attack. All injured individuals, including Saif Ali Khan are receiving medical attention and their condition is reported to be stable. The police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
