Cognizant CEO Provides Clarity on Bonuses and Salary Hike Delays at Townhall

Update: 2025-03-03 09:25 GMT

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a recent town hall meeting, Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S addressed employee concerns regarding delayed salary hikes and bonuses. The company had initially planned to distribute salary increases in April, but Kumar confirmed that they would now be implemented in August. In addition to the salary delay, Kumar provided an update on the distribution of bonuses. Eligible employees can expect to receive their bonus letters by March 10. The bonuses, according to Kumar, are based on both company performance and individual contributions.

Kumar reassured employees that despite these delays, Cognizant remains committed to rewarding their hard work. He emphasized that the company’s financial health and alignment with market conditions were key factors in the decisions regarding compensation adjustments.

The news of delayed salary hikes and bonuses came as a disappointment to many employees, who had anticipated the changes earlier in the year. However, Kumar's message seemed to provide clarity and reassurance that the adjustments would be in line with the company’s long-term vision and objectives.

As the meeting came to a close, Kumar acknowledged the ongoing challenges that employees were facing but reiterated the importance of their continued dedication and performance. "We are all in this together," he said, signalling a future focus on employee well-being and company growth. The update left some employees hopeful about the future but reflective on the importance of patience during challenging times, as the company continues to navigate both internal and external economic factors.
