Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking a significant humanitarian step by providing job letters to 47 victims of the riots of 1984, as a reflection of sensitivity irrespective of the age bar 6 more such letters were given.

Referring to the job letters issued by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, Chugh stated:

“This compassionate initiative is a vital step towards healing and rebuilding the lives of those deeply affected by the tragic events of 1984. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership reflects an unwavering commitment to justice and humanity.”

Chugh further remarked: “We deeply appreciate Prime Minister Modi’s dedication to addressing the long-standing grievances of the victims and their families. The distribution of job letters to 47 victims is a testament to the government’s resolve to uplift and support those who have endured immense suffering.”

Chugh strongly condemned the Congress leadership for deliberately shielding Congress leaders such as Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar, who were involved in the Sikh pogrom of 1984.

He further said “The BJP remains steadfast in its mission to support and uplift those who have faced injustices in the past. We stand in solidarity with the survivors and their families, ensuring they receive the justice and support they rightfully deserve.”

Chugh reaffirmed that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will continue its dedicated efforts to address the needs of survivors and ensure justice is served.
