Second Day of the Shukrana Yatra: AAP Punjab Working President Sherry Kalsi Leads the Yatra from Amritsar to Batala
Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): On the second day of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab's Shukrana Yatra, the party’s newly appointed Working President, AmanSher Singh Sherry Kalsi, led the yatra from Amritsar to Batala and congratulated the party workers for their victory in the by-elections. The yatra saw the participation of senior party leaders and Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, several MLAs, and party officials. Thousands of party supporters and workers also joined, adding to the grandeur of the procession. At every crossroad, workers welcomed the new Working President of the party with flower showers and slogans of “Zindabad.”
During the journey, while addressing the media at various locations, Sherry Kalsi said that the workers are the backbone of the party. He acknowledged that thanks to the dedication and hard work of the party workers, the party has reached this position today. He stated that all workers will be respected, and together, they will take the party forward in Punjab. He also appreciated the dedication and hard work of the party workers during the by-elections. Sherry Kalsi expressed his gratitude to the people of Punjab for maintaining their trust in AAP and stated that the AAP government is working tirelessly to make Punjab a prosperous and flourishing state by continuously taking people-centric decisions. He mentioned that the results of the by-elections showed that the people of Punjab are completely satisfied with the work of the AAP government.
He appealed to the youth of Punjab not to leave the state. The Punjab government is creating thousands of job opportunities within the state. Over the last two and a half years, about 50,000 young people have been provided government jobs, and more jobs will be created in the future. He assured that the AAP government will fulfill every promise made to the people of Punjab during the assembly elections. Several major promises have already been fulfilled, and work is underway on others, which will also be completed soon. He also thanked the party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for entrusting him with such a big responsibility, even though he is a humble party worker. He assured that he would strive to live up to the party's expectations and ensure that every worker’s voice is heard and their feelings are respected.
Sherry Kalsi also claimed a massive victory in the upcoming municipal elections and said that AAP would win all municipal corporations. In Amritsar, he declared that the next mayor of the city will be from the Aam Aadmi Party.
