New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After a long wait, Delhi’s new Chief Minister will be chosen today during a meeting of the BJP Legislative Party at 7 PM at the party’s state office. The leader of the legislative party will be elected in the presence of central observers, and the decision will set the stage for the oath-taking ceremony scheduled for Thursday morning at 11 AM at Ramlila Maidan.
According to party sources, the names of ministers will be finalized before the swearing-in. Along with the Chief Minister, six ministers are expected to take the oath.
Preparations for the meeting and the swearing-in ceremony have been in full swing at the BJP’s state office, with key leaders including National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Vinod Tawde, and General Secretary (Organization) BL Santosh overseeing the arrangements. The MLAs were formally informed about the meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
With intense discussions and last-minute strategizing underway, all eyes are on the BJP as Delhi awaits the announcement of its new leadership.
