Shocking Cruelty: Mom Burns 4-Year-Old's Skin with Scorching Hot Tawa

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : In a shocking and disturbing incident a four-year-old boy was brutally burned by his step-mother in Ghaziabad's Sahibabad area. The child, Gitanjali  was forced to sit on a scorching hot tawa, resulting in severe burns. According to reports, the incident occurred on January 30, but the child's father  Rajesh was informed about it on February 5. Rajesh, a resident of DLF Colony in Sahibabad, had divorced his first wife two years ago and his son Gitanjali had been living with his mother.

However, after Rajesh's second marriage to a divorced woman, who has a seven-year-old daughter, Gitanjali began to live with his father and step-mother. The step-mother, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly subjected Gitanjali to extreme physical abuse, culminating in the horrific incident. Rajesh has filed a complaint against his second wife and her daughter at the Sahibabad police station, alleging that they had conspired to harm his son. The police have launched an investigation into the matter and are questioning the step-mother and her daughter.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation with many calling for strict action against the perpetrators. The child is currently undergoing treatment for his burns and his condition is reported to be stable. This horrific incident highlights the need for greater awareness and vigilance about child abuse and the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of children, especially those living in dysfunctional or blended families.
