School Bus Accident: Bus Carrying Students on Picnic Overturns in Rajasthan, 3 Dead, 25 Injured

Jaipur (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic accident occurred in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district today when a school bus carrying children on a picnic overturned. The mishap resulted in the death of three students on the spot and left 25 others injured. The incident, reported around 10 AM, caused panic among school authorities, police, and parents.

3 Students Lose Their Lives

According to reports, around 60 students from Mahatma Gandhi School in Rachhiya (Amet, Rajsamand) had left for a picnic tour on Sunday morning. The bus was heading from Garhbor to Desuri when it lost control at Punjab Mod in the Desuri Ghat area and overturned. The tragic deaths of three students have been confirmed. Preliminary investigations suggest the accident was caused by brake failure.

25 Students Injured

The accident left approximately 25 students injured. Eleven of them were admitted to a hospital in Charbhuja (Rajsamand), while the remaining 14 were taken to another hospital. The students were on their way to visit the Parshuram Mahadev Temple in Pali district when the bus became uncontrollable at Punjab Mod, leading to the disaster.

Authorities are investigating the incident further, and immediate medical care has been provided to the injured. The news has left the local community in shock and grief.
