President Murmu and PM Modi extend heartfelt new year wishes to nation
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): On January 1 2025 President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended their heartfelt New Year greetings to the nation wishing everyone success, joy and new opportunities in the coming year. President Murmu called on the people to renew their commitment to working together for a brighter more inclusive and sustainable future for both India and the world. She expressed her hopes for joy, harmony and prosperity in the year ahead through a message shared on social media.
Meanwhile, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar highlighted the significance of 2025 marking the nation's entry into the final quarter of the Constitution’s centenary. He urged citizens to rededicate themselves to fulfilling the vision of India's Constitution makers as the nation progresses toward becoming a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) by 2047. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared his New Year wishes hoping for a year filled with new opportunities, success and prosperity for all. He wished the nation good health and happiness in the year ahead. The arrival of 2025 was marked by celebrations across the country with many people visiting temples and religious places to offer prayers while others gathered in the streets to celebrate with loved ones.
