PM Modi's Shivaji Park rally today: Traffic diversions announced by Mumbai police

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally at Shivaji Park, Dadar, on Thursday (November 14), the Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory to inform commuters of potential traffic disruptions. Commuters are advised to plan their travel in advance as traffic movement is expected to be affected along the Western Express Highway (WEH) from the Airport to Dadar, as well as the roads leading to Shivaji Park from the Sea Link, Worli, and surrounding areas during the evening hours.

The rally, which is part of the ongoing campaign for the Maharashtra elections, will see Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and other party leaders addressing a large crowd. The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 14, 2024, and will run between 10:00 AM and 12:00 midnight.

Key Traffic Restrictions:

- **No Parking Zones**: Several roads around Shivaji Park will be designated as no-parking zones, including SVS Road, Kelakar Road, M. B. Raut Marg, Pandurang Naik Marg, and others listed in the advisory.

- **Traffic Diversions**: Vehicular movement on roads such as SVS Road (north and southbound) will be regulated, with diversions in place. Commuters are urged to use alternate routes as recommended by the traffic department.

### Instructions for Rally Participants:

- **Western & Northern Suburbs**: Vehicles from these areas should drop participants at Senapati Bapat Road (between Mahim Railway Station and Ruparel College) and proceed to designated parking spaces in Mahim, including Kohinoor PPL Parking and Kamgar Stadium.

- **Eastern Suburbs**: Vehicles coming from Thane and Navi Mumbai should drop participants near Dadar T. T. Circle and park at locations such as Five Gardens or Matunga.

- **City & South Mumbai**: Vehicles from South Mumbai should drop participants at Ravindranath Natya Mandir or Dadar T. T. Circle, with parking facilities at India Bulls Finance Center, Raheja PPL Parking, and other designated areas in Worli and Matunga.

### Designated Parking Areas:

- **Buses**: Buses will be parked at Senapati Bapat Marg, Mahim Junction, Lady Jahangir Road, Nathalal Parikh Road, and other key locations.

- **Cars**: Cars can park at Kamagar Stadium, Kohinoor PPL Parking, Raheja PPL Parking, and other specified areas along the route.

The Mumbai Traffic Police has urged all commuters to follow the advisory and allow extra time for travel to avoid disruptions during the rally.
