PM Modi bomb threat: ISI plot exposed in chilling WhatsApp message, Ajmer link under scanner
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly received a death threat. According to sources, the Mumbai Traffic Police's helpline received a WhatsApp message warning about a plot to assassinate the Prime Minister using a bomb. The threat allegedly involves two agents from Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, planning the attack.
A police official stated that the number from which the message was sent has been traced to Ajmer, Rajasthan. A team has been dispatched to Rajasthan to apprehend the suspect. The message, received early in the morning, detailed the ISI agents' alleged plot to bomb the Prime Minister.
Investigators suspect the sender may be mentally unstable or under the influence of alcohol. The matter is currently under investigation, and an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Mumbai Police have dealt with similar threatening calls and messages in the past, but this recent incident has triggered heightened vigilance.
