Shocking Acid Attack on BJP Leader’s Daughter Inside Home Sparks Outrage

Begusarai, Bihar (The Uttam Hindu): A horrifying acid attack in Begusarai district has left a 24-year-old woman severely injured and the community in shock. The incident took place late Saturday night in Ward No. 23 of Bakhri Nagar Parishad, where unknown assailants reportedly threw acid on the woman while she was asleep inside her home. According to the family, the woman suddenly woke up in pain, screaming and complaining of a burning sensation on her face. Traces of acid were later discovered on her bed, confirming the family’s fears. She sustained serious burns on her face and arm and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The victim is reportedly the daughter of Sanjay Singh Rathod, a local political figure associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and a former district vice president of the party. Although official confirmation is pending, multiple media reports suggest a political connection. Initial reports suggest that the acid may have been thrown through the window of the house, adding to the concerns over the security of women in the region. The attackers remain unidentified, and their motive is currently under investigation. The incident has triggered panic in the area and strong condemnation from political leaders. The BJP district president described the attack as deeply saddening and has called on the police to take swift and strict action.

Sanjay Singh Rathod informed the police immediately after the incident, prompting authorities to launch an investigation. The local police have assured that they are working on identifying the culprits and ensuring justice for the victim.
