Conspiracy to derail train on Bihar-UP border thwarted after track is found cut
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Once again a conspiracy to derail a train has been foiled on the Bihar-Uttar Pradesh border. In this incident, the railway track was cut deliberately. According to the information, an attempt was made to target the Kolkata-Ghazipur City Shabdbhedi Express, but a major accident was averted due to the alertness of the loco pilot. Railway officials have reached the spot and train services on this route are currently disrupted.
As soon as the information about the railway track being cut was received, GRP and police administration officials immediately reached the spot. This train departs from Kolkata's Howrah station at 10:45 pm and reaches Ghazipur City station at 12:25 pm. Recently, a similar incident took place in Uttarakhand, where an iron pole was placed on the railway track near Bilaspur Road Rudrapur City station. The loco pilot of Doon Express averted the accident by applying brakes in time. Earlier, in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, an attempt was also made to derail the train by placing a piece of wood on the railway track.
