Tragic Accident: Police Constable Dies After E-Bus Runs Over His Head

Jammu (The Uttam Hindu): A police constable lost his life after being hit by an e-bus in the Gadigarh area of RS Pura-Jammu road on Thursday morning. The tragic incident led to markets shutting down in mourning and a demand for an inquiry into the increasing number of road accidents. The deceased, Constable Manpreet Singh, was a resident of Simbalmod, Miran Sahib, and was posted in the Armed Police. At the time of the accident, he was attached to the Udhampur ASP. 

The incident occurred while he was on his way to duty, riding his bike (JK02BD 3666) towards Satwari. According to reports, an e-bus approaching from behind hit him, causing him to fall. The rear tire of the bus then ran over his head, killing him on the spot. The horrifying accident was captured on CCTV, clearly showing how the constable came under the bus. Following the incident, the local community expressed shock and anger, calling for immediate action to prevent further road accidents. Authorities are investigating the case.
