No Gold, No Cars: What Thieves Stole in Himachal That Has Police Baffled

Kangra (The Uttam Hindu): In a surprising turn of events in Khundian, Kangra district, three stolen goats were recovered by the police. Head Constable Surinder Kumar of Khundian Police confirmed the recovery, along with an additional goat found in possession of the accused.

Khundian Police Station Incharge, Ranjeet Singh Parmar, reported that two individuals were arrested in connection with the theft. The accused, Deepak Kumar (24) from Gajroda village, Post Office Balkarupi, Jaisinghpur, and Gaurav Singh (23) from Jaisinghpur, were apprehended on Sunday. They were later presented in Dehra court on Monday and remanded to three days of police custody.

On Tuesday, the accused were taken to the crime scene in Jhola, where several tools used in the theft were recovered, including a motorcycle, a broken lock, an iron chisel, a hacksaw blade, a torch, and an iron saw. During interrogation, the accused admitted to stealing seven to eight goats in areas under the jurisdictions of Bhavarna and Lambagaon police stations as well.
