Tick Tock! School Timings Change – Here’s the New Start Time!

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a significant update, the Haryana government has announced a change in school timings, which will now be implemented from February 16, 2025. Previously, the school timings used to change in March, but this year, the schedule has been adjusted earlier.

Starting from Monday, February 17, all schools in Haryana will follow the new timings. For single-shift schools, the new timings will be from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. In double-shift schools, the first shift will run from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second shift will be from 12:45 PM to 6:15 PM. The Directorate of School Education has issued orders to implement these changes in all government and private schools across the state.

The Haryana Directorate of Education has divided the new school timings into three categories based on the type of school and season. For single-shift schools, the summer schedule will be from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, effective from February 16 to November 14. The winter schedule for single-shift schools will be from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, effective from November 15 to February 15.

For double-shift schools, the summer timings will be from 12:45 PM to 6:15 PM, effective from February 16 to October 14. In the winter months, the timings will shift to 12:40 PM to 5:15 PM, valid from October 15 to February 15.

These new timings are part of the Haryana government's ongoing efforts to ensure optimal learning conditions for students while considering the seasonal variations in temperature.
