BJP Sweeps Haryana Civic Polls: 9 out of 10 Corporations Secured, Congress Draws a Blank

Sirsa (Uttam Hindu News) :  BJP has won a big victory in the municipal elections of Haryana. Congress has been reduced to zero. BJP has won 9 out of the total 10 municipal corporations in Haryana. Independent mayor candidate Dr. Indrajit Yadav has won in Manesar Municipal Corporation. Congress could not open its account on any of the 10 seats. BJP has got a landslide victory in Sonipat, Panipat, Gurugram and Faridabad. BJP has even won the post of chairman of Julana Nagar Palika. Vinesh Phogat had won from Julana assembly constituency.

Record made in Mayor election The record of the biggest victory in Mayor election was made on Wednesday in Faridabad, Haryana. Where BJP's candidate Praveen Batra Joshi won by a margin of 3.16 lakh votes. This is the biggest victory so far in India's municipal elections. Praveen Batra Joshi defeated Congress' Lata Rani by a huge margin. Praveen Batra Joshi's victory in Faridabad has created a new record of winning the Mayor election with the highest margin in the country. Earlier this record was in the name of BJP candidate Sunita Dayal in Ghaziabad. Sunita had won the election by a margin of 287000 votes. But today BJP's Praveen Batra Joshi from Faridabad has created a new record of 316852.

– Rohtak district is considered to be the stronghold of Bhupinder Singh Hooda, but here too Congress has suffered a big defeat. Here BJP candidate Ram Avtar has defeated Congress's Surajmal Kiloi by 45,198 votes. BJP got 102269 votes and Congress got 57071 votes. INLD came third on the seat and AAP came fourth.

– Congress has suffered a major setback in the by-election for the post of Mayor in Sonipat Municipal Corporation. Here BJP's Rajiv Jain has won by a margin of 34 thousand 749 votes. At the same time, Congress' Kamal Diwan remained in second place with 23 thousand 109 votes.

– Bharatiya Janata Party has also won the Gurugram Municipal Corporation elections. The party's Raj Rani has defeated Congress's Seema Pahuja by a huge margin of 1 lakh 79 thousand 485 votes. The Congress candidate got 91 thousand 296 votes. Raj Rani Malhotra got a total of 2,15,754 votes.

– BJP candidate Praveen Joshi got 416927 votes in Faridabad Municipal Corporation, while Congress' Lata Rani could get 100075 votes. She had to face defeat by 316852 votes.

– In the Karnal Municipal Corporation elections, the hometown of former CM Manohar Lal Khattar, Congress' Manoj Wadhwa stood second with 58 thousand 271 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janata Party's Renu Bala Gupta has won by getting 83 thousand 630 votes. She has defeated the Congress by a margin of 25359 votes.

– Shailja Sachdeva has got a big victory in Ambala, which is considered the stronghold of senior BJP leader Anil Vij. The public has elected her as the mayor of the city.

– In Yamunanagar city too, the people have elected a BJP mayor. Here, BJP candidate Suman Bahamani is leading by 51940 votes and her victory is considered certain.

– Praveen Popli of BJP has won from Hisar Municipal Corporation by 64 thousand 456 votes. He defeated Krishna Titu Singla of Congress. On one hand, Popli got 96329 votes. On the other hand, Singla got 31872 votes.

– BJP candidate Komal Saini has won in Panipat. She was leading by 1,08,729 votes even after 17 rounds of counting. This is a big victory for the BJP.

– Both BJP and Congress have lost in Manesar, located near Gurugram. Independent candidate Dr. Indrajit Yadav has won from here. He won by 2,293 votes. Yadav got a total of 26,393 votes, while BJP's mayor candidate Sundar Lal could get only 24,100 votes.
