New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal addressed party workers on the 12th foundation day of the party, with special emphasis on Constitution Day, which fell on that day. "This alignment is not mundane; it is god almighty who has ordained," Kejriwal said, adding that the party's birth was to ensure the protection of India's Constitution. Kejriwal also pointed out that AAP was born not through political dynasties but from ordinary people, reasserting commitment to the common man.

Reflecting on AAP's journey, Kejriwal underlined the significant achievements, particularly the Delhi model of governance, which emphasizes public welfare, infrastructure development, and a budget surplus. Under AAP's leadership, Delhi has seen considerable expansion-450-km long metro network, 38 new flyovers, and major improvements in healthcare, education, and public services. He stressed that these successes have been achieved without deficits and showed that governments can even operate profitably while keeping priorities towards the needs of the people.Kejriwal also spoke about the backlash the party had to face-such as predictions of its downfall and the imprisonments of senior leaders of the party. Yet, he maintained that the party has gained strenth and kept on serving people with transparency and character.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also greeted party workers, also hailing the focus of AAP on issues like free medical facilities, free education, and free electricity. AAP National General Secretary Dr. Sandeep Pathak emphasized that the party will protect the Constitution and usher in a new kind of politics where the needs of the people become the focus.Kejriwal concluded and thanked the party workers by saying that AAP was not about power, but it is about instilling hope in the minds of Indian people. He pledged to continue to work for a better and more just nation despite the challenges ahead.
