YouTube Deletes 9.5 Million Videos, India Tops the List – Here’s Why

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): YouTube , taking action under its strict content policies, has removed about 95 lakh videos from its platform. India was the biggest contributor to these removed videos, from where about 30 lakh videos were deleted. YouTube, which is known for its strict content policy, has banned videos that spread hate speech, harassment, violence and misinformation. To ensure the safety of viewers, YouTube uses AI-powered detection systems and human moderators, removing harmful content before it reaches a large number of viewers.

YOU TUBE took a big action, deleted 95 lakh videos, India is at number one, know the reason : The largest number of videos removed by YouTube were violations related to child safety. According to the data, more than 50 lakh videos were considered harmful for children. Apart from this, there are other major reasons due to which the videos were removed.

YouTube deleted not only videos but also 48 lakh channels. Most of these channels were created to spread spam and fraud. When a channel is removed, all its videos also disappear from the platform. YouTube removed 120 crore comments from its platform, most of which were spam. Some comments were deleted due to harassment, hate speech or threats. YouTube is constantly improving its content moderation system so that inappropriate and misleading content does not spread on the platform.
