USA Imposes Heavy Tariffs on Canada and Mexico, Delivering a Major Trade Blow

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Recently, US President Donald Trump had announced to impose tariffs on many countries. In this series, it is starting from today i.e. Tuesday. America is going to impose heavy tariffs on Canada and Mexico from today. 25 percent tariff will be imposed on goods coming to America from these two countries. Earlier, US President Donald Trump said on Monday that tariffs will be imposed on Canada and Mexico from March 4.

After the US President's announcement of tariffs, a statement from the White House has come out. In this statement it was said that America will have to impose tariffs. Now people should build car plants and other things in America itself. So that they will not have to face any kind of tariff.

Not only this, recently Donald Trump talked about fentanyl (drug). In this context, he said that the smuggling of fentanyl has not been stopped. Therefore, now there is no scope for agreement. Referring to China, Trump said that America has failed to stop the shipment of fentanyl from China. Now to punish Beijing, the tariff on all Chinese imports will be increased from 10 percent to 20 percent.
