Washington (The Uttam Hindu): The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by Elon Musk is constantly sharing important information related to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). A few days ago, DOGE had informed that USAID has stopped financial assistance to many countries around the world, including India.

Information has come to light that America was funding to increase the voting percentage in the Indian elections. Now the question arises that to whom America was giving this money? According to the report, America used to give 21 million dollars (1 billion 82 crores rupees) to India. When President Trump was asked about the funding, he said that why would we give 21 million dollars to India?

Trump said they (India) have a lot of money. In such a situation, why would we give India $21 million? This is beyond comprehension. He said that India is one of the countries with the highest taxes in the world. We can hardly reach there because their tariffs are very high. Trump said that he respects India and the Prime Minister a lot, who left America a few days ago.

DOGE had said a few days ago that the US has decided to cut the $21 million program created to increase voting percentage in India. DOGE is cutting down on US government expenses. According to the information shared by DOGE, the US used to give $21 million to India to increase voter participation in the country's elections.
