Stage Collapse at Nirvana Mahotsav in Baghpat: Over 80 Devotees Injured

Bagpat (The Uttam Hindu): A big accident has happened in Bagpat district of Uttar Pradesh. On the occasion of Nirvana Laddu festival of Bhagwan Adinath, the wooden platform made in the Maan Stambh complex collapsed in Bagpat. More than 80 devotees got injured by getting buried under it. There was panic everywhere after this incident. As an ambulance was not available, the injured were taken to the hospital in an e-rickshaw. On receiving the information, the Barot Kotwali Inspector also reached the spot with the police force.

Stage collapsed due to breakage of stairs during Nirvana Mahotsav; More than 80 devotees injured : According to information, this tragic accident took place on Gandhi Road in Baraut city Kotwali area. More than 80 people were injured due to the collapse of the stage of Man Stambh built on the grounds of Shri Digambar Jain Degree College. A religious program was to be held here today as part of Nirvana Mahotsav; a 65 feet high stage was built here. Its stairs broke. It is being told that the temporary stairs installed for anointing the idol seated in the Man Stambh installed in the Jain College campus have collapsed. More than 80 devotees were buried under it. There is no news of any loss of life or property till the last news was received.
