Quarterly Pension Review Meeting Held at PSPCL Bathinda, Focus on Timely Benefits

Bathinda (The Uttam Hindu): A quarterly meeting regarding pending and upcoming pension cases for employees retiring from PSPCL/PSTCL was held today in the office of Chief Engineer/DS, West Zone, Bathinda. The meeting was chaired by Er. Sukhwinder Singh, Deputy Chief Engineer/Tech to Director/Administration under the guidance of PSPCL CMD Er. Baldev Singh Sran and Director/Administration S. Jasbir Singh.  


In alignment with the directive to hold quarterly reviews, this session addressed critical concerns for retirees and ensured timely pensionary benefits. On-the-spot resolutions were achieved for 20 cases while progress on 150 other cases for employees retiring by 30th June 2025 was reviewed. 


Additionally, incumbency registers for all circles and divisions under the West Zone were checked with directives issued to complete them by 31st January 2025. Accounts of Junior Engineers regarding material withdrawal from stores were also examined with two divisions found compliant. Remaining divisions have been instructed to update accounts by 31st March 2025 to ensure proper financial record maintenance.


Key attendees included Smt. Meena Mahi, Deputy Secretary (Pension), Smt. Renu Sharma (Superintendent), Smt. Madhu Bala (Superintendent/Works), Er. T.S. Brar (Addl. XEN/Works) and other officials from various departments under the West Zone, Bathinda.


This proactive approach underscores PSPCL's commitment to ensuring smooth processing of retirement benefits and maintaining organizational efficiency.
