Pushpa 2 Screening Stampede Sparks Political Uproar, Telangana Film Industry to Meet CM Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad (The Uttam Hindu): The stampede during the screening of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' in Hyderabad has sparked intense political discussions. Film producer Dil Raju announced that the entire Telangana film industry would meet Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to address the incident. Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Raju emphasized his role as a mediator between the film industry and the government. Speaking about the incident at Sandhya Theater, he confirmed that the Chief Minister has allocated time for a meeting with the film industry representatives in Hyderabad.
Dil Raju also provided an update on Tej, a child who was critically injured during the stampede, and is now recovering after being removed from the ventilator. Tragically, Tej's mother, Revathi, lost her life in the incident. Raju visited KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad to meet Tej's family and expressed his support. He also stated that he met with CM Revanth Reddy to discuss further assistance for the family.
Actor Allu Arjun, whose film was being screened during the tragic event, has been questioned by Hyderabad Police regarding the incident. Meanwhile, Bhaskar, the father of the injured child, expressed gratitude for the support he has received from the film industry and authorities.
